October Half Term Fun

We have lots of fang-tastic fun available for famillies and children of all ages this October half term at our Aneurin Leisure Trust venues across Blaenau Gwent!

Libraries

Pick up a spooky read to enjoy with your family this half term and enjoy some FREE children’s activities:

Explore the library with our FREE Halloween themed treasure hunt.
Jump into a book and join our interactive Halloween Wiggly Words storytelling sessions (for ages 3-9).

Sports Centres

We have a wide range of activities for children throughout the half term at our sports centres:

Free swim sessions for children under 16 years of age - view our swimming timetables for dates and times.
Playschemes at all centres for children aged 8 - 12 years.
Family Disability Swim Sessions at all sports centres, which includes FREE access for disabled children and siblings with a paying adult/carer.
Under 10s Halloween Party at Abertillery sports centre on Thursday 30th October from 10am - 2pm.
Halloween Swim Session at Ebbw Vale sports centre on Friday 31st October from 11am - 1pm.

Parc Bryn Bach

Join us for some scenic autumn walks, spooky themed fun and exciting adventure activities at Parc Bryn Bach!

Take a walk or cycle around our lakeside path, which is also accessible for wheelchairs and push chairs, enjoying the scenery and immersing yourselves in nature.
Explore our FREE wildlife sculpture trail around the lakeside path, or try our our FREE Halloween Trail by following our clue sheet which is available at reception.
Have fun in our children’s play area which is FREE to access.
Enjoy some Halloween themed fun with our Halloween Craft Session, Spooky Cave & Climb and Halloween Bushcraft.
Get adventurous with our range of adventure activities, including Archery Tag, Activity Days and Cave & Climb.
Challenge your friends with our Mini-Golf Competition.

Bedwellty House & Park

Whether you’d like to get creative with some Halloween themed crafts, enjoy a family party get to meet some fascinating wildlife or enjoy a spooky tale, we have something for everyone at Bedwellty House and Park!

Enjoy some FREE family-friendly crafts with Arty Parky on Tuesday 28th October as we create a huge piece of natural art in the park.
Louby Lou Storytelling will be performing a FANG-tastic theatre show called Pogo The Mischievous Cat on Tuesday 28th October.
Join us for a fun and spooky Pumpkin Painting session for children on Wednesday 29th October.
Create some Spooktacular Potions with Experimental Science on Thursday 30th October.
Experience a frightfully fun evening filled with music, laughter, and games for all ages at our K-Pop Halloween Family Party on Thursday 30th October.
Meet a variety of fascinating wildlife at our Animal Encounters event on Friday 31st October.
Enchant yourselves with a Wickedly Enchanting Afternoon Tea on Saturday 1st November.
