Fantastic Physics
ExperiMENTAL Science are back with more fun-filled science shenanigans for the summer holidays!
The children will explore electricity with our hair raising Van de Graaff generator, create human circuits and blow up giant balloons in one puff.
Following this the children will make paper rockets, mind bending thaumatropes and levitating ping pong balls to take home.

Faulty Towers: The Dining Experience

Join Blaenau Gwent Heritage Forum for their next FREE heritage talk at Bedwellty House and Park.
A Talk by Roger Morgan
The Doctor Will See You Now...
Roger will cover the developments in medicine from the late 1700s and Humphrey Davey with nitrous oxide, through to the late 1800s and the development of x-rays – with a little bit of body snatching on the way.
Some of the characters we’ll meet will be Joseph Lister, Robert Liston, Lenec, Morton and Pasteur. Although not all at the same time!

Titan Brecon Middle Distance Triathlon
Titan Brecon Middle Distance Triathlon is back for 2025 on Saturday 5th July at Parc Bryn Bach!
Possibly the most Iconic Middle Distance Triathlon on the UK Calendar which should be on all triathletes bucket list, with a beautiful lake swim, an ‘epic’ bike course and a traffic-free park-based run.
The event starts with a 1.2 mile one-lap swim and takes place in the park lake.
The 60-mile bike course has now built a following of fans and ‘epic’ is the word! The quiet roads have excellent riding surfaces and the route tours the beautiful Brecon Moors before culminating with a sustained climb back to T2.
The final 13.1 mile run is a three-lap route around the lake and park – so it’s great for spectators!

All car parking will be at the golf course for the day. Overflow parking will be provided at the airstrip, with a shuttle bus to bring visitors down to the event.
Disabled parking will be available near the play area - please show your blue badge to the staff on the main gates.
There will be no ParkRun or Open Water Swim on Saturday morning.
The lake will also be closed to fishing on Saturday.

Enjoy a range of multi-sports activities and games from 10am – 1.30pm in the sports hall, followed by an optional free swim session in the pool from 1.30pm – 3pm.

Get ready to challenge yourself, improve your fitness, and have fun along the way with our Hyrox events at each of our sports centres.
This Hyrox Games event is for pairs and provides the perfect opportunity for beginners to experience the format of a Hyrox event at one of our own centres.
The format of the event is 6 minutes work followed by 2 minutes rest for the following skills stations:
