The PAGB Masters of Print Exhibition 2026.
This exhibition showcases the very best of amateur photography in the UK today. Now in its 9th year, the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) is exhibiting all over the UK and presenting new, largely unseen work which has been created with skill and passion.
This amazing art exhibition is FREE to view during Bedwellty House opening times, and will be available until Sunday, 30th August 2026.

Archery tag combines all the fun of paintball (without the paint), dodgeball and archery as participants endeavour to shoot their opponents targets in a fast-paced game of agility and archery.

Summer Crafts: Trash to Treasure
Get creative this summer with our Summer Craft Club!
We'll be making an array of fabulous arts and crafts every Wednesday - so come and join the fun.
For this session we will be upcycling some household items to make into something you will treasure!

Raft Building
Looking for a fun and challenging activity this summer?

Abertillery Sports Centre: Trampoline Club
Join us this summer for our new Trampolining Camp at Abertillery Sports Centre!
Participants will get the chance to have some fun and learn the basics of trampolining with Freefallers Trampoline Club.
Each Wednesday we will have two different age group sessions:
14:30 – 16:00 for ages 9-14
16:00 – 17:30 for ages 15+

Abertillery Sports Centre: Trampoline Club
Join us this summer for our new Trampolining Camp at Abertillery Sports Centre!
Participants will get the chance to have some fun and learn the basics of trampolining with Freefallers Trampoline Club.

Come along to Bedwellty House and Park and play tennis!
Between 10.00 and 11.00am the courts are free to use and equipment will be provided if you need it.

Clayton Shorthouse Memorial Triathlon
The Clayton Shorthouse Memorial Triathlon is back for 2026 at Ebbw Vale Sports Centre!
This triathlon is ideal for beginners and features a range of races, including a Junior Aquathlon for children aged 8 - 14 years:
Relay Event: 400m Swim, 10km Cycle & 2.5km Run (£30 per person)
Super Sprint: 400m Swim, 10km Cycle & 2.5km Run (£15 per person)
TriStar 1: 150m Swim & 1.5km Run (£10 per person)
TriStar 2: 200m Swim & 2km Run (£10 per person)
TriStar 3: 300m Swim & 3km Run (£10 per person)
TriStar Start: 50m Swim & 600m Run (£10 per person)
The course is well-supported with numerous volunteers ensuring participants have a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Join us in honouring the memory of our late friend, Clayton Shorthouse, by taking part in this special event.
All proceeds will go to North Gwent Cardiac Rehabilitation & Aftercare Charity.

During the sessions, participants will learn about different crafts and how to paddle them correctly while out on the lake.

Murder Mystery Night

Award winning company Death on Demand will be bringing their newest immersive murder mystery experience Rise & Demise: The Turning to Bedwellty House and Park on Friday, 9th October.
Five years after the Vampire–Werewolf War nearly destroyed their kind, vampires cling to survival. The ancient Ascension has become “The Turning”, an annual ritual where humans risk everything to join the undead. Last year, the ritual saw the death of an Elder and a shattered hierarchy.
Tonight, as The Turning begins, ambition, danger, and blood are impossible to ignore.

An enchanted spot awaits you, when you follow the story trail
Gather round and behold the magic of our whimsical Toadstool Tales.
We are delighted to bring our brand new Toadstool Tales to the grounds of Bedwellty House and Park this Summer. This whimsical and enchanting structure houses a series of magical stories, which are brought to life through live performances.
This particular event will share the tale of 'The Fairy Circle.' A 30 minute static, storytelling performance, which includes audience participation.
We invite families to bring along their camp chairs and blankets to join us in the wonderful outdoors. This is a seated performance, so please make yourselves comfy. Please note, our Toadstool structure is waterproof and therefore, the storytelling will go ahead even in the rain. Please come prepared for the weather on the day.
Please head to main reception on arrival or keep an eye out for our signs to help guide you toward our Toadstool. We will be situated in the woodland near the Long Shelter.
Due to its performative nature and limited space, we require ALL attendees to purchase a ticket to enter the Fairy Circle.
The recommended age is 3 to 8 years, but older or younger children are welcome to attend.

Summer Paddle Club
Join our new Summer Paddle Club through the school holidays at Parc Bryn Bach!
During the sessions, participants will learn about different crafts and how to paddle them correctly while out on the lake.
Attendance to all sessions of the club will gain you a paddle-start accreditation.
Paddle Club is suitable for children aged 8+.
£6 per session (plus booking fee).
Cave and Climb
Test out your skills on our outdoor climbing wall and man-made cave this summer at Parc Bryn Bach!
£4.50 for one activity
£8 for two activities
The Cave is suitable for ages 4 years+
No pre-booking is needed, simply drop in anytime between 11.30am - 3pm and pay at the visitor centre when you arrive.
Please note that this activity is weather dependent.
Soft Play Monday
Join us for some soft play fun for little explorers this summer!
Each Monday we will have a fun-filled soft play session where children can jump, crawl, slide and explore to their heart's content.
While the children are busy burning off some energy, the adults can sit back and relax with a tea or coffee and enjoy a catch-up with other parents and carers.
Session times are 10:30am – 12:30pm and 1:00pm – 3:00pm.
Our orchid House Tea Room will be open throughout the session, serving a delicious selection of snacks, light bites, lunches, hot drinks and tasty sweet treats for everyone to enjoy.
£2 per child (plus 60p booking fee)

Join us for a fun and friendly Football Camp at Abertillery Sports Centre this summer!
Our Summer Football Camp is for children aged from 3 years to 8+ and will be split into different sessions for each age group:
10:00 - 11:00 for ages 3–5 (adult participation will be required from parents/guardians)
11:00 – 13:00 for ages6–8
13:00 – 15:00 for ages 8+
£5 per child – payable at the time of booking.

Navigation Club
Join our Navigation Club this summer and learn all the basics of map reading and map orientation while exploring our beautiful park.
If all sessions are attended, participants can achieve the NNAS Outdoor Discovery Award.

Live Music Sunday
Join us for a summer of live music and guest food vendors in our Courtyard at Bedwellty House and Park!
This week we have live music from Chris Summerhill and street food from Mr. Gyro.
Our licensed bar will be open throughout the afternoon - please note the bar will be cashless, accepting credit/debit card payments only.
We will also have a limited selection of baguettes, sandwiches and bar snacks available alongside our guest food vendor.

Come along and join our creative collage sessions at our libraries and express your perimenopause/menopause experiences.
The sessions will be led by an artist, and aim to provide cathartic craft sessions in a relaxed environment, that focuses on connection and nurturing personal wellbeing.

Abertillery Sports Centre: Trampoline Club
Join us this summer for our new Trampolining Camp at Abertillery Sports Centre!
Participants will get the chance to have some fun and learn the basics of trampolining with Freefallers Trampoline Club.
Each Friday we will have a session for children aged 3-8 years.

The Big-Time Boogie-Woogie Animal Band - An Interactive Musical Story Experience
Between the 10th and 13th August, in all libraries, we are holding with the help of Ebbw Valley Brass!
This joyful picture book will be brought to life with a hands-on storytelling session where every child becomes part of the band - discovering the sounds of different musical instruments, moving to the beat, counting along and playing real instruments.
A lively, laughter-filled story session where every child has the chance to make music, move and become part of the Big-Time Boogie-Woogie Animal Band.
