Aneurin Leisure Adult Community Learning opens the door to a world of opportunity for adults aged 19+. Whether you’re looking to boost your health and wellbeing, meet new people, learn for pure enjoyment, or gain a recognised qualification, we’ve got something for you.
Our courses span an exciting mix of subjects, including:

To join any course, you’ll pay a £7.50 annual membership fee per centre, plus any course or exam fees where required.

The adult education team at Aneurin Leisure Trust works across a number of projects aimed at developing the employability of Blaenau Gwent’s community. This is achieved through building the knowledge, confidence and experience of participants to support them in their long-term goals.
The Activate Blaenau Gwent Trailblazer project forms part of the UK Government’s Get Britain Working initiative. This cross-partner initiative's aim is to support economically inactive individuals aged 16+, particularly those who are disabled, have long-term health conditions, or caring responsibilities, into healthier, more connected, and employable lifestyles, focusing on emotional wellbeing, physical health, and practical skills development.
Adult Community Learning now integrates the Head, Heart and Hands framework, supporting participants through a three-stage personal growth model:
'Head' focuses on mental wellbeing, mindfulness, and confidence building
'Heart' emphasises healthy living and physical wellbeing through access to community facilities and Life Memberships in the Trust's sports centres
'Hands' supports skill development, volunteering, and employability opportunities
These three stages create a complete continuum of personal and social transformation for families and individuals.
