Eva’s story is one of unimaginable resilience and courage.  Born in a concentration camp just days before its liberation, Eva survived against all odds.  Her life is not only a testament to the strength of the human spirit, but also holds a deep connection to our local community.

Eva Clarke was recently bestowed with the Freedom of Blaenau Gwent, a mark of the respect and admiration we hold for her story and legacy.
