Our Aneurin Leisure Trust venues have lots fun activities planned for children during the October half term, with plenty of thrills and chills for Halloween too!
Libraries
Jump into a spooky book with us and enjoy an interactive storytelling session with our FREE Wiggly Words activities for ages 3-9 at all our libraries this half term. If you’re feeling creative we also have Crafting with Chris, a FREE family eco-friendly craft session on Saturday 24th, October at Ebbw Vale Library. There’s also a FREE selection of Create with Clay art workshops for children at all our libraries. For more information visit our Libraries website here.
Sports Centres
Our sports centres have more fun-filled Playschemes this half term, which include a morning of multi-sports activities in the sports hall, followed by an optional swim in the afternoon. Each sports centre also has a Family Disability Swim Session where disabled children and their siblings can enjoy FREE access to the pool with a paying adult/carer (£5.20).
Abertillery Sports Centre will also be hosting a Halloween Party for children aged under 10 on Friday, 30 October, which will be jam-packed with lots of fun activities, including bouncy castles, a tattoo station, lucky dip and more (£8.50 per child).
This half term we also have Swimming Crash Courses available that provide intensive, short-term lesson programs designed to rapidly improve swimming skills and confidence for children of all ages and abilities:
Abertillery Sports Centre from Monday, 26th – Friday, 30th October (£27.50 for the week).
Tredegar Sports Centre on Wednesday, 28th October (£15 for the day).

Bedwellty House & Park
There’s so much spooktacular fun on offer for ghosts and ghouls of all ages at Bedwellty House and Park this half term - don't you dare miss it!
Join us for our Soft Play Monday for children aged 5 and under. On Tuesday Louby Lou Storytelling will be transporting everyone to Winnie’s Potion Shop for an interactive performance and families can also drop in to join in with the FREE Arty Parky session to build a huge artwork in the park. On Wednesday we will be creating Halloween Lanterns at 11am and 1pm. Join us for some Potions & Spells on Thursday morning, followed by a Halloween themed Silent Disco for under 11s and a Teen Sip & Paint for ages 12 - 16 in the evening. Join us for a fun-filled Halloween Breakfast with Mickey & Friends on Friday where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast experience filled with Halloween magic, tasty treats, and plenty of family fun.

Parc Bryn Bach
This autumn we have a fantastic week of activities planned at Parc Bryn Bach to keep children of all ages entertained throughout the October half term, as well as some spooktacular Halloween themed fun! Throughout the week there’s a selection of Adventure Activities to try out, including bush craft, archery tag, mountain bike taster sessions and activity days.
