Youth Sport Trust Blaenau Gwent Gold Ambassadors Award
Congratulations to Tredegar Torpedoes Swimming Club volunteer Jazz Fiorini, who has been awarded the Youth Sport Trust Blaenau Gwent Gold Ambassadors Award.
Tredegar Torpedoes was the first club in Blaenau Gwent to partner with Aneurin Leisure Trust’s Sports Development Team and embed the Ambassador programme into their volunteer development programme.
The Sports Development team is proud to support the coaches, Jazz, and the other Gold Ambassadors at the club on their Leadership and coaching journey.
Neil Vincent, Sports Development Team’s Ambassador Programme lead said: “As a Gold Ambassador, Jazz leads every session with passion, professionalism and genuine care for younger swimmers. Her dedication, leadership and positive influence embody the very best of the Ambassador programme.
“Jazz is everything a Youth Sport Trust Ambassador represents and her enthusiasm and dedication with hours of volunteering make her justly deserving of achieving the Gold Ambassador level.”
Reflecting on the award, Jazz said: “Being part of the Youth Sport Trust Gold Ambassador programme has given me the confidence to lead and support others.
“Helping the younger swimmers and seeing them grow has been just as rewarding as my own swimming journey.”
The Youth Sport Trust Ambassador (Young Ambassadors) programme plays a vital role in developing young leaders through sport. It empowers young people to lead, influence and inspire, using physical activity as a platform to promote wellbeing, inclusion and confidence, while building valuable life skills that extend far beyond the poolside.
